LTD. d/b/a Trash Bandit™ ("Trash Bandit," "TrashBandit.vip," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you access or use Trash Bandit websites, applications, progressive web applications, games, maps, marketplaces, rewards programs, and related services.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13 through an Account or other unauthorized use of the Services, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete or de-identify that information as appropriate, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, or record-retention requirements.

A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Trash Bandit may contact us through the official Support or Contact page.

Individuals who are 13 through 17 years of age may participate only in accordance with the parental consent, accompaniment, and supervision requirements contained in the Trash Bandit Terms of Use.

Where a minor aged 13 through 17 participates with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian, we may collect limited personal information reasonably necessary to:

create or administer the permitted Account;
provide location-based and gameplay features;
verify parental or guardian authorization where appropriate;

Users under 18 may not use adult-only marketplace, selling, auction, cash-redemption, payout, or other financial features.

3. LOCATION AND GEOLOCATION INFORMATION

Location information is central to many Trash Bandit features.

Depending on your device settings and the features you use, we may collect:

approximate location;
precise GPS location;
device coordinates;
location-verification information;
geofence interactions;
location timestamps;
routes or navigation activity;
Mission locations;
Treasure Hunt activity;
Trash Bounty locations;
Event locations;
Hideout locations;
check-in or completion locations; and
location history associated with gameplay where required for the applicable feature.

We use location information to provide features including:

displaying nearby Missions;
showing landmarks and points of interest;
providing maps;
navigation and route planning;
finding nearby Virtual Treasure;
validating Mission completion;
validating Trash Bounty completion;
validating Treasure Hunt activity;
supporting Events;
operating location-based RPG gameplay;
preventing GPS spoofing and fraud;
calculating Rewards or achievements;
showing user-created map content; and
improving location-based Services.

3.1 Location Sharing

We do not automatically make your precise real-time location publicly visible to all users.

Certain features may require location information to be shared with another user, Participating Business, Event organizer, Mission participant, or other authorized party where reasonably necessary to provide the feature.

For example, a user-created Mission, Bounty, Event, Hideout, or other map location may display the location associated with that content.

Where practicable, we limit location disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant feature.

3.2 Device Permissions

You may control location permissions through your device or browser settings.

Disabling location access may prevent certain Trash Bandit features from functioning, including:

navigation;
Mission verification;
treasure discovery;
Trash Bounties;
location-based Rewards;
AR functionality; and
other location-dependent gameplay.

4. PHOTOS, VIDEOS AND USER-GENERATED CONTENT

Trash Bandit may allow users to create, capture, upload, publish, or share:

photographs;
videos;
artwork;
Missions;
Events;
Hideouts;
reviews;
descriptions;
comments;
messages;
virtual items;
digital artwork;
map locations;
gameplay content; and
other User Content.

User Content may contain personal information.

We may process User Content to:

display it through the Services;
verify Mission completion;
verify Trash Bounty completion;
administer Rewards;
moderate content;
detect fraud;
provide marketplace features;
operate social and community features;
improve the Services; and
exercise rights granted under our Terms of Use.

Users should avoid uploading photographs, videos, or other content containing personal information about another person unless they have appropriate permission to do so.

5. TRASH BOUNTY AND MISSION INFORMATION

When you participate in Missions, Trash Bounties, environmental cleanup activities, Good Deeds, community Missions, Treasure Hunts, or other Challenges, we may collect:

Mission participation;
Mission completion records;
Mission history;
photographs and videos;
before-and-after images;
timestamps;
location verification;
GPS information;
Reward information;
Points earned;
completion evidence;
reports;
ratings;
user-created Mission data; and
anti-fraud information.

We use this information to operate and verify gameplay, prevent cheating, administer Rewards, maintain leaderboards, investigate abuse, and improve the platform.

6. GAMEPLAY AND RPG INFORMATION

We may collect information about your interaction with game systems, including:

player level;
achievements;
character progression;
Points;
Rewards;
rankings;
leaderboard information;
PvP activity;
cooperative gameplay;
Virtual Treasure;
virtual collectibles;
inventory information;
Hideout activity;
Inn activity;
virtual opponent interactions;
Events;
Missions;
Treasure Hunts; and
other gameplay history.

We use this information to operate and personalize the game, preserve account progress, detect cheating, calculate Rewards, provide multiplayer functionality, and improve gameplay.

7. MARKETPLACE INFORMATION

If you use Trash Bandit's marketplace, we may collect information relating to:

marketplace listings;
purchases;
sales;
trades;
auctions;
bids;
offers;
Virtual Treasure;
digital artwork;
virtual collectibles;
user-created digital content;
transaction history;
seller activity;
buyer activity;
transaction disputes;
refunds;
chargebacks;
marketplace fees; and
fraud-prevention activity.

Certain marketplace information may be visible to other users when necessary to operate the marketplace, such as:

username;
seller profile;
item listings;
item descriptions;
asking prices;
bid information where applicable;
transaction status; and
publicly displayed ratings or reputation information.

Private payment and identity-verification information is not intentionally displayed publicly.

8. PAYMENTS, PAYOUTS AND IDENTITY VERIFICATION

Where you purchase goods or services, receive cash-value Rewards, sell marketplace items, participate in funded Bounties, or otherwise use financial features, we or our payment providers may collect information including:

name;
billing information;
address;
transaction amount;
payment status;
payout information;
payment-provider identifiers;
refund information;
tax information;
identity-verification information; and
information required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe, rather than being stored directly by Trash Bandit.

We generally receive transaction-related information necessary to:

Where Participating Businesses pay users directly, including by e-transfer, Trash Bandit may process information necessary to verify or administer the applicable Reward, while the Participating Business or its payment provider may separately process information required to complete the payment.

9. POINTS AND REWARDS INFORMATION

We may collect records relating to:

Points earned;
Points redeemed;
Reward eligibility;
Reward history;
Reward redemption;
cash-value redemption;
participating merchant Rewards;
promotional offers;
fraud reviews;
reversals; and
expiration or program status.

We use this information to administer Rewards programs, verify eligibility, prevent abuse, calculate Rewards, and resolve disputes.

10. BUSINESS AND MERCHANT INTERACTIONS

When you interact with a Participating Business through Trash Bandit, we may collect information such as:

business Missions completed;
offers viewed;
Rewards earned;
Rewards redeemed;
business locations visited in connection with gameplay;
promotional interactions;
Event participation; and
transaction or payout information associated with the applicable business.

We may disclose information reasonably necessary to a Participating Business to verify or fulfill a Reward, Mission, offer, or transaction.

We do not provide businesses unrestricted access to your private Account information merely because they participate in Trash Bandit.

11. DEVICE AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION

When you access the Services, we may automatically collect information including:

device type;
operating system;
browser type;
IP address;
device identifiers;
application version;
language settings;
approximate location derived from technical information;
login activity;
crash data;
diagnostic data;
referral information;
network information;
security events; and
interaction with the Services.

We use this information to:

operate the Services;
authenticate users;
improve performance;
diagnose technical problems;
prevent fraud;
protect Accounts;

Information submitted to or processed by AI-powered features may include User Content, gameplay information, location-related information, prompts, or other data required to provide the particular feature.

Where third-party AI providers are used, information may be processed by those providers on our behalf subject to contractual and privacy requirements.

We do not intentionally require users to provide highly sensitive personal information through AI prompts unless specifically necessary for a disclosed purpose.

Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information through AI-generation features unless the feature specifically requests it and you understand why it is required.

14. PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INFORMATION

Depending on the features you choose to use, information visible to other users may include:

avatar;
profile information you choose to make public;

User Content;

14.2 Information We Do Not Intentionally Make Public

Unless required for a feature you intentionally use or authorized by you, we do not intentionally make publicly available:

legal name;
residential address;
telephone number;
email address;
identity-verification documents;
tax information;
payment credentials;
payout credentials; or
precise real-time device location.

Users should understand that information they voluntarily publish through public areas of the Services may be viewed, copied, shared, or captured by other users.

creating and maintaining Accounts;
authenticating users;

providing location-based gameplay;
displaying nearby Missions and treasures;
verifying participation and completion;

administering Points and Rewards;

facilitating merchant Rewards;

moderating content;
protecting users and the platform;
improving Services;
troubleshooting;
analytics;

enforcing our Terms and policies;
complying with applicable legal obligations; and
other purposes disclosed at or before collection.

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without obtaining any additional consent required by applicable law.

16. WHEN WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information to third parties for their independent advertising purposes.

Information may be disclosed to other users when you intentionally use public, multiplayer, marketplace, Event, Mission, social, or user-generated location features.

16.4 Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information where permitted or required by applicable law, including where reasonably necessary to:

comply with lawful legal process;

investigate fraud;
enforce legal rights;
address security threats;
protect users;
prevent serious harm; or

17. BUSINESS TRANSFERS

If Trash Bandit or 1585214 B.C. LTD. is involved in a:

sale of assets;
corporate reorganization;
insolvency proceeding; or

18. INTERNATIONAL AND OUT-OF-PROVINCE PROCESSING

Trash Bandit may use service providers located outside British Columbia or outside Canada.

As a result, personal information may be stored or processed in another province, territory, or country.

Information processed outside your jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed, including lawful access requirements applicable to service providers in that jurisdiction.

We take reasonable steps to select service providers and establish protections appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information they process.

Where consent is required, we seek consent appropriate to the circumstances and sensitivity of the information.

Consent may be obtained:

when you enable location permissions;

when you activate a feature;

Where permitted by applicable law and with required consent, Trash Bandit may send:

product announcements;
merchant offers;
Event information;
Reward promotions; and
other marketing communications.

Users may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting us.

Opting out of marketing does not necessarily stop operational communications necessary for:

security;
authentication;
transactions;
payouts;
customer support;
changes affecting an Account; or
other non-marketing purposes permitted by law.

21. DATA SECURITY

Trash Bandit uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against risks including:

unauthorized access;
unauthorized disclosure;
loss;
theft;
misuse;
unauthorized modification; and
improper disposal.

Safeguards may vary depending on the sensitivity, amount, format, and storage of the information.

No internet-connected service or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for protecting their Account credentials and should notify us promptly if they suspect unauthorized Account access.

22. SECURITY INCIDENTS

If we become aware of a privacy or security incident involving personal information, we may:

investigate the incident;
take reasonable steps to contain it;
remediate vulnerabilities;
preserve required records;
notify affected individuals where required or appropriate; and

Trash Bandit may contain integrations with or links to third-party services.

Trash Bandit's Privacy Policy does not govern independent processing performed by unrelated third parties.

Users should review the privacy policies of third-party services they choose to use.

29. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:

changes to marketplace functionality;
changes to Points or Rewards;
