Location Safety Policy

Your Safety Is Our Priority

Treasure Bandit uses real-world locations as part of its core experience. This policy outlines how we handle location data and what safety standards we enforce.

1. Location Privacy

Bounty GPS coordinates are never publicly visible. The exact location of a bounty is only revealed to the verified Bandit who accepts it, and only at the moment of acceptance. Before acceptance, only the city is displayed.

2. Location Accuracy

Bounty posters must ensure that GPS coordinates accurately reflect the bounty location. Misleading location data is a violation of Community Rules.

3. Safe Locations Required

Bounties must only be placed at locations that are: publicly accessible, legal to enter, free of unusual physical hazards, and appropriate for adult members. Examples of prohibited locations: private property without permission, construction sites, highways, restricted government areas.

4. Hunter Responsibility

Members who accept bounties are responsible for their own safety. Treasure Bandit is not liable for any injury, accident, or loss that occurs during bounty hunting. Never trespass, take unnecessary risks, or engage in dangerous behavior to complete a bounty.

5. Location Data Deletion

Once a bounty is verified and completed, the exact GPS coordinates are removed from active display. Historic location data is retained only for dispute resolution purposes.

6. Emergency Situations

If you encounter an emergency while hunting a bounty, prioritize your safety above all else. Contact local emergency services immediately. Report any unsafe bounty locations using the Report feature after ensuring your safety.

7. Children and Minors

Treasure Bandit is strictly for users 18 and older. Bounties must not be placed at locations primarily frequented by minors (e.g., schools, playgrounds).
