1. Bids Are Final

All bids placed on Treasure Bandit™ are final and non-refundable. Once a bid is confirmed, the funds cannot be returned under normal circumstances. However, if a bounty expires, is rejected, or is disputed, the full bid amount is returned to the bounty poster's account as a reward. Bidders themselves are not refunded directly — the pool is credited back to the member who posted the bounty.

2. Platform Fee

A flat $3 platform fee is automatically deducted from every bid at the time it is placed. This fee covers platform operations, moderation, and payment processing. The remaining amount is added in full to the bounty's hunter pool.

3. Bounty Pool Accumulation

Each bid adds to the cumulative bounty pool. The total pool grows with each bid from any member. The pool amount displayed is the amount after the $3 platform fee. Hunter payouts are based on the net pool amount.

4. Minimum Bid

The minimum bid on any bounty is $10.00 CAD. There is no maximum bid amount.

5. No Withdrawal

You cannot withdraw a placed bid even if the bounty is not accepted, if the hunter fails to complete it, or if the bounty is re-listed. Your bid remains in the pool regardless of outcome.

6. Payout Conditions

The hunter pool is paid out only when: (a) a verified Bandit accepts the bounty, (b) they complete it within 12 hours with valid photo evidence, and (c) a moderator verifies the completion. No payout is made without all three conditions being met.

7. Failed Completions

If a hunter fails to complete a bounty within 12 hours, the bounty returns to the active board with the full accumulated pool. New bids can continue to be placed.

8. Fraud Prevention

Any attempt to manipulate bids, create fake bounties, or commit fraud will result in immediate account suspension and possible legal action. Fraudulent bids are forfeited.

9. Bounty Rejection

If a posted bounty is rejected by moderators, the full bounty pool is returned to the poster's account as a reward. This is done to protect the integrity of the platform. Common rejection reasons include: illegal activity, missing or unclear photos, vague locations, offensive content, misleading descriptions, or missing required GPS coordinates (for Trash & Treasure bounties). Bids placed on rejected bounties remain non-refundable and are forfeited.

10. Bounty Points (BP) & Reward Bounties

In addition to cash payouts, Bandits earn Bounty Points (BP) for completing bounties and checking in at Hideouts. BP is an in-platform currency that can be exchanged for Reward Bounties — special bounties where the cash pool is unlocked by paying BP instead of entering a password.

Earning BP: Bandits earn BP automatically upon moderator verification of a completed bounty. Free-posted bounties (no starting bid) award double BP. Check-ins at Bandit Hideouts also award BP instantly with a photo.

Spending BP: Reward bounties set to "BP Cost" collection method require you to pay a set amount of BP from your balance to unlock the cash reward pool. Your BP is deducted at the moment you collect, and the cash pool is released after moderator verification.

11. Agreement

By placing a bid, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this policy. You acknowledge that the bid is non-refundable and that the $3 platform fee is non-negotiable.
