How Payouts Work

Treasure Bandit facilitates payouts to verified Bandits who successfully complete bounties. This document outlines the full payout process.

1. Payout Eligibility

To be eligible for a payout, you must: (a) be a verified Bandit in good standing, (b) have accepted an active bounty, (c) completed it within 12 hours, (d) submitted valid photo evidence, and (e) received moderator approval.

2. Payout Amount

Your payout is the total hunter pool accumulated from all bids on the bounty, after the $3 flat platform fee has been deducted from each bid. The exact amount is displayed in your dashboard when you accept a bounty.

3. Payout Timing

Payouts are released only after moderator verification is complete. Verification typically takes 24-72 hours after completion photo submission. No payout is released before this process is complete.

4. Payout Method

Payout methods are configured in your account settings. Supported methods include bank transfer and digital payment platforms. You are responsible for providing accurate payment information. Treasure Bandit is not liable for lost funds due to incorrect payment details.

5. Taxes

You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on bounty earnings. Treasure Bandit may issue tax documentation as required by law.

6. Disputed Payouts

If a payout is disputed (e.g., suspected fraud, false photos), payment may be withheld pending investigation. If fraud is confirmed, the payout is forfeited and the account may be suspended.

7. Failed or Rejected Completions

If your completion is rejected by moderators, no payout is issued. The bounty returns to the active board with its full pool. You may re-accept it in a future listing.

8. Platform Fee

A flat $3 from every bid goes to Trash Bandit as a platform fee. This is non-negotiable and applies to all bids regardless of outcome. The platform fee is not returned even if a bounty is never completed.

9. Bounty Points (BP)

In addition to cash payouts, verified Bandits earn Bounty Points (BP) — an in-platform currency — each time a bounty is completed and verified. BP is credited to your account at the same time as your cash payout.

BP amounts vary by bounty type, and free-posted bounties (no starting bid) award double BP. Bandit Hideout check-ins also award BP instantly upon photo submission.

Exchanging BP for Rewards: Some Reward Bounties require BP to collect instead of a password. You pay the set BP cost from your balance to unlock the cash reward pool. The BP is deducted at collection, and the cash pool is released after moderator verification — just like a standard payout.

BP has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. It can only be used to collect BP-cost Reward Bounties on the platform.
